What does Capsuling do?
Capsuling allows event producers to engage their audiences with exclusive content at their events. The app unlocks virtual time capsules of event specific content. The team offers previously unavailable visitor analytics to event managers eager to know more about their audience, as well as a new channel for offering content.
Tell us about your team!
Capsuling’s team consists of two founders, a product group and a sales & marketing group. Founders are Michael (CEO), who is a media professional, and Daniel (CFO), who holds an MBA from INSEAD. Our developers have been working together for years – our CTO and back end developer are both from the Israeli startup scene and graduates of an Israeli Army’s elite computer unit. Completing the product group are a web designer and a system architect mentor. The sales & marketing team has a partnership manager, a creative & branding adviser (Who did Early Bird website) , and two sales reps, one holding an MBA and one specialized in social media.
What have you achieved in the last 3 months?
We used the time at the accelerator to redesign our UX and technology. We’ve built our beta version, as well as performed in depth market research to assess the market size, competition and to estimate pricing. We closed our first contract with the Maxim Gorki Theater and are now starting new pilots with Berlin‘s volleyball team (Recycling) in February, and with Universal Music in March.
What are your plans for the next 12 months?
During 2014 we intend to invest in the product back end and front end development, as well as expand our pilot tests into large scale partnerships. We are planning an automated smart server that allows easy setup by customers and copes with difficult IT network constraints. We will also develop a platform for creating and sharing capsules. We plan to scale up the pilot tests we are currently running in the music, sports and marketing-agencies verticals, to serve events in the European and US markets.
